I use buttermilk in my scones when I can and often also add an egg but I usually only make cheese or cheese and ham scones, maybe with some herbs added. I mix them in the food processor and add the wet stuff just before baking.
My Belgian dance committee colleagues love them.
Haven't tried them on jam and cream scones yet.

I thought the same Dove, just put a lemon drizzle cake and banana loaf in the oven.
Nut must be back by early afternoon, wonder if any were leftovers.

There were good, much complimenting and requests for recipe. Must be the paprika that did it which isn't in the recipe
