plants doing weird things

Hi all,

Doing a bit of deadheading in the garden yesterday and came across a hellebore in full flower? Been away for a week in Scotland and expected tried garden to be a bit of a jungle on return but flowering hellebores very strange.

Anyone else with plants behaving strangely??
