Hi, not sure if this was maybe from some salad seeds I sowed last year? It has a slightly nutty/peppery? smell to the leaves when you rub it. I was thinking it was perhaps spinach but google images shows it has different flowers to the one this one has growing.
Thanks

I think it's a Datura https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?PID=536

Don't even sniff the flowers too enthusiastically!

It's ok, it won't murder you in your beds, and it's very beautiful - see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimson_Weed_%28painting%29
Just keep the kiddywinks away from it, enjoy the flowers, and then pull it up and bin it before it seeds

thanks very much! glad I didn't pick it and eat it now...to think I thought it was from some stray spinach seeds I sowed last year!
