Hi everyone, I hope you all had a lovely wk end. We have had great weather down here in Hants. Now to my problem, I had noticed that all my Livingstone Daisies in one border had suddenly died ( last year they lasted months) and it looked like the flowers had all been eaten.....and I thought it was slugs/snails. Today I had a tidy up and removed them and found that their roots were covered in tiny greenish black wingless bugs, what could they have been please. All the rest in other parts of the garden seem fine, so I would like to know what to watch for and be prepared to act quickly should others start to go the same way. Thanks so much for any answers or advice given.

Did they look like these (vine weevils)?

Nemasys did work for me on my strawberry plants which were being decimated.

Thanks Bob for replying, I've checked out vine weevils and its not them.
Dove thanks for your answer and link too, after reading through it I spotted a picture of the exact ones that I had found.....thats something I've learnt today as I hadn't heard of root aphids before the little xxxxxxx they seem to get everywhere!!!!
