white spider on wisteria

just found white spider on wisteria ,when opened leaf it had thick like cotton wool inside with loads of small things running about would it do any damage to wisteria , I pulled it off

    Spiders are exclusively carnivores so won't harm your plants.  In fact they may catch and eat some insects which could harm your wisteria, so best leave them be. image

    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    oh dear , I took it off thought it be causing damage thanks bob
