I have a few quite small pots that I would like to fill but not sure what would be best to put in them. I want outdoor plants in a semi shade. Any ideas. See my profile not a great gardener but hoping to improve
I've put osteospermums in my fence planters as they are very hardy and good in droits all you have to do is dead head them and water them and they flower from May all through to September.
Can I jump on this thread please? It is sort of related.
My pansies and violas seem to be dying off due to the previous horrible weather conditions. However in my borders I have an abundance of snow drops and daffs (including small Tete-a-Tete variety). I wonder if I would be asking too much of my plants if I moved them into some pots for better displays? Is this too risky?

How small is small and what are they made of sillylegs? A rough idea of measurement will help - ie across the diameter of the top
Smaller pots mean plants will dry out more quickly and that makes it harder to choose something appropriate.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
