I bought Rudbeckia Dublin this year which is a cross between the two...I wonder how tough it's going to be. Will be flowering in a week or two I reckon...
Haven't heard of them, Echinacea just refuse to grow for me but Rudbeckia try to take over, I'm tempted to try them to see which category they will fall into
Ugh. I dont like the brown flowers. I prefer the annuals, cherokee sunset and prairie sun. Lots of seeds in a packet. All the new perennial echinaceas act like annuals in my soil anyway. Flower when first planted, then just a label acting like a grave marker.

maybe they'll fall into the blinkingeckia category
I looked them up, we sell them as Summerina Rudbeckias at work. I must admit they are beautiful, especially the darker brownish/yellow flowers.
