Cotoneaster hedge

    Whatever you choose to do, be it kcut right down or just trim, they will grow like mad once the roots establish, as long as they get some water in their first year, anything, anytime, goes.

    They can prune their own hedge! I'll concentrate on the back garden where I know what I'm doingimage

    It's only cotoneaster, won't matter what you do with and if you don't pick up the prunings it will root itself.

    We cut as and when it needs it, you can't kill it.

    if it were mine, and of course it isn't, but I would have reduced the whole thing by half on planting.
