    I like the traditional gutter edge to the lawn but to maintain it you'll need a half-moon cutter (lawn edger) and a pair of those long scissor thingies are handy too (I got some cheap from Tesco and they've been great). You just drive in your half moon cutter put your foot next to it on the lawn side and what you grub out, throw to the back of the border.



    I know it can look a bit old fashioned but if you suffer from couch grass in the lawn trying to creep back into your border then I find it easier to maintain.
