No pears!!!!

Hi

I planted a James Grieve pear tree 7 years ago and never had any blossom let alone any fruit. Its in well drained soil in a sunny location south facing. Its about 8ft tall and I have never pruned it.Any ideas please as to why no blossom/fruit since planting?

Thank you

    Hi Don,

James Grieve is an apple tree as far as I know.

No wonder you don't have harvest apples yet. ( if I'am rightimage)

Maybe the cutting of the pear is placed on the wrong stemwood.

If it never had blossom in 7 years I'am afraid it will not happen in the future aswell.

Better buy a new tree and be assured of fruit next summer

Sorry my apple tree is the James Grieve! Looks like a new pear tree then.I bought the present one from a supermarket-maybe that was a mistake.
