This hard heart won't be getting on board! Can't stand staged sob stories.....,I'm sure they deserve a lovely garden but making their misery our entertainment and then rewarding with a makeover for sharing their woes? No thanks!
Almost as bad as x factor.....my Nan died and I'm doing this for her!....
So very tired of makeover shows/ competition shows...given up on T.V.... Thank Santa ( or whichever idol...?simon cowell maybe?) for Monty!

You and I must be kindred spirits Wonky W can't stand those weepy programmes, didn't even watch it in the first place, and when they start flapping their hands about their faces when they cry, what's that all about, does it stop you crying no, it doesn't!
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
I'm not complaining - I watch and enjoy almost all of them - I liked The Instant Gardener and the Autistic Gardeners, love Carol K's series (reminds me a bit of Geoffrey Smith's World of Flowers - another very enthusiastic enthusiast ) . I watched some of Mr T, I just don't think the more recent ones have been gardening programmes - doesn't mean they're bad programmes - just not to my taste
However I do enjoy GW
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Kindred spirits Jo and Lyn! its not hard hearted to not want to be entertained by others misery, its hard hearted to keep writers, actors, directors, etc out of a job by making cheap disposable TV full of emotive sentimentality instead of making stuff folks would actually want to watch....like everything else in this world it probably comes down to profit margins and shareholders not knocking those that enjoy it but not really a gardening show just a big sticking plaster....quick fix TV!

I agree with that Daryl2, but I just find it a bit formulaic.
As Verdun says, most people "emjoyed" ( sic ) it.
