Last year I planted Buddleja 'Miss Ruby' in front of our west-facing sitting room window.  It's an absolute beauty - covered in long-lasting magenta flower spikes and attracting lots of butterflies. It doesn't grow too big so is ideal for smaller gardens and doesn't set seed.

    An absolute picture image

  • I cut my budleigha back hard every year that I had it and it still grew massively. it was also overgrowing the fence on my front garden making it difficult to go past without bashing it.

I put a lot of effort into my garden.

It's been planted a year, I cut it hard back in March and at the moment it's about 4ft tall and the same across and flowering well.   It's label says that ultimately it could reach 6ft x 6ft which will be great as it's in the front garden in front of the sitting room window - we'll be able to see it and all the butterflies it attracts from the comfort of the sofa image
