Help with Wisteria

Ryan180680Ryan180680 Posts: 202

Last year we planted a wisteria and wanted to train it to grown along our balcony style fence on our patio. It grew very well last year and we cut it back as instructed in July and then again in February. This year we got flowers however that was it. We didn't get any further length on the actual vines so its growth this year was non existent. Have I done something wrong or does anyone have any tips?

As it's still young , it might be creating a good root system. Don't give up on it.
