My clematis has only three blooms and I was wondering if I should give it some tomatorite but have always understood not to feed when in bloom! (Same for my fuschia) . Can I ask you guys a) would you feed all summer long with tomatorite or similar and b) why should you not feed when in bloom ? Thanks

I always try to give a liquid feed with tomorite or liquid seaweed (diluted of course) once a week when a plant starts blooming. I tend not to feed when they're NOT in bloom as it stimulates green growth at the expense of flowers unless that is what I am after.
Great thanks, should trust myself but then I read other things that tend to contradict what I've been doing all along !!!
