Ok...its nasty
look, a pesky blackbird got my bumper crop of blueberries. He outdid my determination to get my fruit. He teased, tormented and repeatedly got under my netting.
ok, its nasty. Cruel. Blackbirds have a right to live etc. but you have to understand my frustration, nay anger.
it was with a heavy heart that I...............
pulled up a stool and sat among my blueberries and ate everything remaining. I saw aforesaid blackbird perched on my runner bean post. I teased him, tormented him, expressed my sheer pleasure vocally in eating my blueberries with great relish. I had enough to half fill a bowl and B Bird could see it. Couldn't resist a backward glance and a smug expression as I carried my bowl of blueberries indoors.
cruel? Yep. Nasty? Yep? Good feeling? You bet

You had better take your stool and a book into the bathroom!
Next time we want a video Verdun!
funny as......well its funny!
Think your within your rights! Blackbird didn't grow them! My policy is feed all creatures enough that they don't eat yours! But sometimes you have to send a message out....think you did that!
My policy is...they have all of Dartmoor, Bodmin moor, and all lanes and verges in between, they must not be a nuisance in my tiny patch.
My lot are so used to being fed they don't seem to realise that they could be fending for themselves, scrumping my raspberries
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
You wait until they find your car........
Excellent, Verdun!
You're no tthe only one with blackbird trouble.
