Dumb Cane

I'm not the best at keep plants alive, but I got some plants for the Office where I work and all the other plants are doing well apart from my dumb cane. I re-potted it with indoor compost, water every 2 weeks or more, I let it get fairly dry before watering. But the leafs just go brown and fall off constantly??
