Lawn Problem

We have been told that we have Red Threat in our lawn can you tell me how to treat this.

    Thank you Dave2356 - it looks (having read the RHS link) that if a neighbour has this problem and doesn't treat it that since the spores are airborne that even if I treat my lawn it could still be re-infected from elsewhere.  HELP !!!!!

    Don't worry about the airborne spores issue too much - if you follow the good advice on the above link in the "Control: Non-chemical control" section by feeding and increasing aeration, then you should be fine. Have you fed, top dressed and aerated your lawn at all?

    Thanks.  The lawn has been fed and aerated and has been looking good until recently.  I will try now to sort out the Red Thread although I was concerned that it might be a waste of time as my neighbour's lawn is more Red Thread than grass and I read on the link that the spores are air borne !!
