Hydrangea
Hello, I have one hydrangea planted in my garden, the tips of the leaves are going brown as are the flowers. I'm watering it most nights but it's not making a difference. It is in sunlight most of the day, could this be the reason? I have a second hydrangea planted elsewhere in the garden, in a shadier spot that doesn't get much sunlight. This one has not flowered this year and is showing no signs of any flowers. As I'm completely new to gardening would appreciate any advice on how to fix these issues. I think hydrangeas are possibly my favourite plants and would love to see them thriving. Thanks in advance

I'm giving it a fairly good soaking most nights. The soil isn't great. I've not put compost or manure in it. I've just put some fish blood and bone down.
any idea on why my other one isn't blooming?
Sorry, i should add that the only reason why I have been watering it so often is becuase its been so dry and warm until the past week or so.
They need a bit of oomph as well Snarfy. If you can beef up the soil a bit with some well rotted manure and compost that will benefit them.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
So you think both plants will be ok if I get the soil right ie one in full sun and one in mostly shade?
Thanks for your replies.
Yes, exactly right.
