garden pond
I have three fish - one toad - two frogs - oxygenating weed - a water lily - a filter pump with a small fountain.
Everything seems to like it but the water looks like pea soup, I have tried cleaning it out completely and used barley extract, don't know what else to do.
Any suggestions welcome

My pond gets like this early on in year when the pond plants haven't grown enough to cover a fair bit of the pond, right now the water lily is covering at least 2/3 and the water is clear. If you haven't room for more plants in the pond maybe put in some surrounding it that would give bit of shade?? I've got a marsh marigold, and a few marginals swell and it's only a small square metre pond. I have tried barley straw and liquid and they didn't work. clearing out dead foliage helps too.
Thanks will try
