Potatoes with white specs

Hi,

Just dug these Wiljas out of some bags i grew them in. I noticed they have little white specs, is this ok? I grew some of the same seed potatoes in the gorund and they had no specs when i dug them up.

The soil was quite wet, when i emptied the bag.

Also i fished a few slugs out of the bag. Should i keep the soil separate in case they layed eggs in it? I was going to tip it into my veg bed, but dont want the little blighters in there if there are eggs.

Thanks

Jason

I've seen this before and it disappears when the soil on them dries.  I think it's a harmless soil fungus.  Or slug eggs..

I wouldn't worry about the possibility of slug eggs in the compost - spread it out on the veg patch and leave it a few days - if there are any slug eggs there the robins and blackbirds will get them image
