Verbena growing, holes in leaves

Hi there I've been growing a bunch of verbena patriotic mix and of late the leaves having been developing small little holes all over and they are getting rapidly worse Help please

    Looks like flea beetle damage.  You could try a neem oil spray or (slightly less organic) pyrethrum-based spray which is made from a natural insecticide extracted from chrysanthemums.

    david:  I've had awful problems with all my verbena this year.  Swarms of thrips devastating all of them and I'm having to get rid of them.  Never had this before as they've always been one of my favourites.
