Unknown anaphylaxis

Hi. Difficult to describe without photo upload option but here goes.... I'm not a gardener. However I was in a garden and shortly after I had a horrendous allergic reaction to something. I not knowingly allergic to anything other than penicillin. The Doctor said is was definitely something I've ingested rather than a bite from an insect due to the symptoms. The only thing I can think is I handled a plant bare-handed and wanted some expert to help identify the plant so I know if it could be the cause... TL;DR The plant is a climber, was on a feature wall. Mid-to-dark green foliage, almond-like shape to the leaves, they are roughly size of an adult small finger. The leaves run parrellel each side as opposed to alternate leaves each side. It has a small white flower with 5 petals. It flowers at the end with a small cluster of them at the end of the leaf shoot. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It may or may not be this plant but I need to narrow the cause down as it was very alarming. Thanks Ben

The plant looks like Jasmine.    Jasminum officinale

Its not a usual cause of allergic reactions, indeed the oil is often used in perfume and aromatherapy.

That said, it is possible to become allergic to almost anything.

Do you have any cow parsley type plants in the garden that you may have brushed against, or any euphorbias?
