We can't get scaffold boards here so when we renewed our raised beds recently we bought roofing beams which are good and solid and long enough to cut to the various lenths needed for our veggie patch. I showed monty's double depth beds to Monty and said that was what i'd like to do when I creae a new, sunnier veg patch and he humphed.

Hi Bunny... I don't care how old Nigel is to me he is a baby......... that lights up Montys' face when he talks to him. He completes Montys' garden. Besides, he makes me smile! I noticed that the producers have cottoned on to the fact that finishing GW with them together is a plus
big sigh of delight from me, been waiting for it to come back on,tivo it and watch with baby asleep on my knee,aahhh...wonder if monty would like to come and help me create our garden?...
Good to have Gardeners World back and to see Nigel fit and well. Wonder if Monty has got much gardening done so far this week because I know I haven't And 2-3 feet of hardcore for a path, he must be expecting some heavy traffic?
I think I recall Monty saying he was going down so deep to ensure good drainage - that garden of his does flood badly doesn't it?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
