RED CURRANTS

Hi i have only just joined this site.i have had an allotment for some years now and got some red currant bushes on it ,this year the leafs have gone funny /all brown and curry,i will try to put a photo on here that i have taken ,has eny one had this problem with current bushes ,...........image

    What the problem is sounds like is currant blister aphid, remove all affected leaves and burn don't compost, also remove leaves that have fallen from the bushes, a winter tar oil wash is recommended.

     sorry not to get straight back only just worked out how to put a photo on here,looks like you are right Cornelly,i have got some blackcurrants next to them and they are allright ,thanks ,

    I got one of them garden burners a few weeks ok from Aldis,only we can not have open fires no more ,so i will strip them all off and bag them up till back end then test it out ,only i put the red currants in the pan when i make some black currant jam  so i dont wont to lose the bush,
