Will ranunculus corms survive in soil overwinter?

MelonClawMelonClaw Posts: 6
Hiya I'm a complete garden newbie so any advice is greatly appreciated. I've had a lovely display of ranunculus' which are now fading. I'm not going to do anything yet as I realise you should allow all the foliage to die back to allow the corms to recharge for next season (? I think ?) however, when the time comes, should I be digging up the corms and drying them out over winter or will they survive in UK soil? Thanks Helen
