Thanks B-L. Mine aren't yet at their best. Once they're all blooming, and assuming they've not all been knocked flat by freak weather, I'll do another photo shoot. (I'll have to call back the firm of acrobats I like to work with for the special angles I like to achieve) image

Lovely photos no matter which way they are

  • They are lovely.  I have a similar one but it hasn't flowered yet, it's being overshadowed by an overgrown and ill-placed crab apple tree which will have to be ripped out soon.  Any tips on how you got the last photo the right way up?

Nice plants Reiver, Like the greenhouse too in the top picture.

Here's an idea I got from the RHS Cardiff flower show in April. I had a Pergola made 2 seasons ago specifically because I've always wanted a Wisteria (that's it on the far left post in top picture. The idea though? Growing Swiss Chard in containers. I've made some shelves to go between the uprights of the Pergola and put Swiss Chard 'Bright Lights' in the top one and sown Beetroot 'Alto' in the lower one. Btw the shelves are level it's me that's leaning! - the shelf at the other end of the Pergola has Strawberry plants in it for 2 strawberry loving grand daughters!image
