RHS Level 2 Cert self taught?

Hi folks,
I've just started learning about the structure of plants hoping that I can sit some RHS Level 2 cert exams next year. I've downloaded the syllabus from the website.
It seems like I could learn the first part about Principles of Plant Growth, propagation and development fairly easily from books and youtube, but to get the whole certificate requires this bit:
- RHS Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Garden Planning, Establishment and Maintenance (14 credits)
has any one any experience or recommendations for doing this bit self taught? Wondering if it's possible....

I haven't done it, but I do know that anything is possible if you really, really want to do it.
dont think too much about, get on and enjoy it.
