Mystery pepper plant
In April I planted some Seed from Suttons entitled F1 Jumbo Peppers only one of the seed germinated, but as the seeds were out of date I didn't worry to much. But the resulting plant bears no resemblance to the picture on the packet, and am wondering how to treat the resulting fruit as they have spines like needles and bear no resemblance to the normal peppers one would expect. Any ideas folks. I have added a photo of said plant.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Don't try and eat it, it's poisonous.
I have had this one appear in seeds pots several times, I think it must come in the compost.
In the sticks near Peterborough
Highly poisonous, the plant has a strong smell , can irritate skin did it come out of the compost? The seed of datura is nothing like pepper seed.

I think that compost made of recycled rubbish has a lot to answer for.
