Red currents seems to me.
Red currents are edible but quite sour. But with a bit sugar or sweetener OK

From the looks of the leaves and fruit I'd say they're red currants and I'd be happy to eat them - I'd make redcurrant jelly with them http://www.nigella.com/recipes/view/red-currant-jelly-4460
Because they're very high in pectin they're also very useful as an addition to low-pectin fruit such as strawberries, to make jam - see this thread on a Food Forum http://www.wildfood.info/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=11905&p=303735&hilit=Ian%27s+strawberry#p303735
