  Monty is giving two talks at the Univ. of Bristol Botanic Garden tomorrow called "Why Garden?" which seems to me a very good title for a book by someone as well known as Monty. The range is enormous from gardening as a child to ecological issues for the sake of grandchildren..

  Cats can be sooooooo pushy, and it'll soon be apple season, and we know how Nigel loves collecting fallen apples - he'll be very busy
