Acanthus Mollis

Planted an Acanthus Mollis in the Autumn and it's done really well lots and lots of strong leaves, but no flowers yet.
Anything I can do to encourage it to flower or am I just being impatient as usual.

Whenever I'm impatient for flowers I feed the offending plant with a high potash feed such as for tomatoes or roses. I'm not familiar with this plant though so my routine might not work on it.
