This plant is growing outside a villa we stayed at in Italy and I wondered if anyone could identify it. It's a round bush at the bottom with white flowers on long spindly stems. The way it moves in the breeze is really lovely.
Yep, one of the best things in my garden now... full sun and 40*C for weeks and is going strong with almost no watering. So light and elegant too. I love it.
Its used a lot in Australia as bedding, it copes well with the hot summers in Perth. There is a pink form as well I think, remembering from browsing garden centres in Western Australia.

Gaura lindheimeri. Sometimes known as whirling butterflies, which I think is a selection. It does better in hot areas, likes full sun.
