i have a corner in my garden which is shaded by a hedge and gets a limited amount of sunlight , are there any scented plants that i could put in this corner , or just any plants that enjoy shade

Evergreen Mahonia is a sweetly smelling yellow flowered shrub in the Spring which the bees will love.  Sometimes gets black berries in the Winter.  You could under plant with lily of the valley.

Perennials Astrantia and Dicentra are very pretty although not scented.  Jacob's ladder, Solomon's seal, Anemone Blanda bulbs, hyacinths and snow drops would be pretty in the Spring too.

Oriental lillies don't mind a bit of shade and smell fabulous.  Those should give you a startimage

Is it dry under your hedge?     Astilbes like shade, but they like moisture too.
