;) and take plenty cuttings before you plant it , then have extras for free image
  • Thanks all.  I will try to find a plant then as you all seem to think this is the best plan.  I was amazed at the amount of responses.  Happy Gardening!

  • Here are a couple of photos of the white one I grew last year in a pot, stunning against the green foliage..

  • Gorgeous plants, discodave. It hadn't occurred to me to put them in pots, but I think I'll have a go this year. For the borders, it is the smaller ones for me. I'll be looking for suitable seed, reading plant catalogues being infinitely preferable to housework.

  • Thanks for the comments, I know its only 1 plant but it had alot of impact. Its partly because of the success of the lupin that I have 15 more patio planters this year than last year (5 of them over 120Litres)

  • Thanks, nutcutlet. I've tried lupins before but OH weeded the garden one autumn and got out a lot of large 'weeds'!!!! This included the lupins, a 'bramble' (climbing rose) and some climbing weeds of the group 2 variety!!! Haven't let him near the weeding since!

  • Oh Grandma, I bet he was popular. I hope he made it up to you...
