Nectarines

Our four year old nectarine was loaded with fruit this year and they have all be destroyed by wasps.  Does anyone have a remedy for this - the tree is about eight feet tall.

    Yes we had that problem with plums last year, best pick them early in the morning before the wasps are active and that is about 6o cl am.image

    But if they are not ripe, will they ripen after being picked?
