DUMPING GROUND!!

Our site is divided by 4 lanes and at the end of the fourth lane we have a spare piece of land. When I say land it's about 15' x 10' and it has fast become a dumping ground! We are looking for inspiration and ideas as to what we can do with it. Maybe something that would benefit all the allotmenteers. Every time I pass it i get more annoyed image.  Would welcome any ideas/thoughts. image

Make it into a nectar bar for insects. Add a bug hotel or two.

Do you have a community area, picnic table, bbq etc where you could sit and have a chat with the other allotment owners.  The allotments here do that and it creates a real community feel and inviting

How about incorporating a whiteboard/ slate board (with soft pencils attached) for swaps/ wants/ spare tools/ offers etc near the simple bench/ seating suggested by others???

community area, or if  your plot are small you can have a greenhouse each or a fruit cage and divide the tree between all of you.

If it's too out of the way to make a useful communal area, then plant a comfrey patch and grow your own plant food.  Use the sterile variety Bocking 14 so fellow allotmenteers don't get bothered by it seeding around.  As a bonus, it will attract lots of bees.
