Can you tell me what succulent this is?

Hi guys 

I was given this gorgeous little plant to celebrate a special occasion and I don't really know what it is. I'm guessing it is a succulent and I was told to water it every 7 days rather than frequently. It has pretty little pink flowers and big water retaining leaves. Could anyone let me know what exactly it is?
