Weeds, I Think

Hi, new to forum and new to gardening.

Can anybody tell me what the weeds are below and how best to get rid. They are growing on a retaining wall and i need to remove them.

definite weed but don't know what it is called. I think you cut it off at the wall and put glycosphate(sp) into the cut stems.  Somebody will be able to confirm on here I'm sureimage

Cut it right back to  the ground.  It will almost certainly re-grow then treat any new growth with SBK brushwood killer.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Thanks guys. Is there a good or bad time to apply the SBK Brushwood killer.

is there an adequate alternative to SBK Brushwood killer, i couldn't see it in B&Q today.

SBK is what I would use - I've no experience of any others so couldn't recommend one - SBK is readily available online and at most garden centres.

    Hope that's helpful image
