Me again with 3 plant ID's if poss?
I have photos but they're not great, and knowing me they'll rotate again - sorry! Here goes :

This is the same shrub, about 12 feet high again. I cut it back with shears so it was off the lawn. The stems are red, white berries too. This photo was from last week. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Sorry, I can't count, it is early (not really!). One plant not three!
Because of the red stems? I was just surprised because it's so huge but then most of these shrubs haven't been looked after for many many years.
Will do, thanks Tetley.
It seems to resemle the Red Osier Dogwood. If this is the case then how to prune? The shrub is about 12 feet wide and high and bare old wood (about 1-2 inches thick) from the base until you get to the last 18 inches which have the distinctive red colour and the leaves. I would have liked to have taken a quarter off all over to reduce the size but I'm frightened it will look really bare and not recover. And also not sure when to do this if I do. Any suggestions?
Wait until March and then cut it right back too about 12 inches or less! By the summer it should be around 4 feet again with vivid red stems for winter! It looks like cornus alba as it has white berries
Thanks everyone, I'm a little more confident now about pruning it.
