Hello, I have a white powdery substance on my plant leaves.  The plants continue to grow and flower, but are they infected by a mould.

If the are , how do I get rid of it?

Thank you Frances.

It's powdery mildew. It's usually caused by dry roots. Make sure they are well watered, especially as they are in pots, and spread them out a bit to improve air flow round the plants. Phlox are well behaved plants and do really well in the border.

Leaf mould is not 'mould' on leaves, rather rotted down leaves used as a soil conditioner.

Some phlox are prone to mildew, others seem immune. Unfortunately you have the non-immune kind.

Can this mildew infect my other plants beside the main infected one?

Will it spread to other plants?

    Frances.

Don't know if it helps but I've had mildew on asters which haven't affected any neighbouring plants.  Good luckimage

No, it will probably be confined to the phlox.
