Worms for composting

Morning all, I've been given an empty Blackwall Wormery which I'd like to get started.  I know I need special worms, and also some base bedding, and some websites say I also need some sort of lime.  The wormery doesn't have trays, it's just an empty bin with a tap at the bottom.  If anyone else has a similar wormery, I'd really appreciate some advice.
