Storing Charlotte potatoes

The foliage on my Charlotte potatoes is now all floppy. Can I dig them up and store them in sacks or are they likely to go soft?

I find these potatos do not storre well they start producing shoots after a few weeks
Leave them in the soil and dig them up and use them as you need to - they don't store well.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I kept some for a couple of months last year with no problems.
