Woody Hydrangeas

Hi......

Can any one help.I have three "lace" type hydrangaes in my front garden and two of them appear to be bearing this years blooms at the tip of the branch's.They do not seem to have any foliage lower down the branch should I consider cutting them back when flowering has finished ?

    Or, if you live in a cold spot, do it in Spring. The old growth helps to protect the plant over winter.
