ID help please - pretty shrub with pink and white petals

Hello

We were visiting a garden the other week and found this lovely shrub growing under the shade of a large mulberry tree.  We loved the small two colour petals.  The shub was only about waist height and was in full blossom around the middle of June this year in the South East.  It is reminiscent of a Rhododendron, but doesn't have the glossy evergreen type leaves.  The foliage seemed softer and more like to be annual foliage.  The individual flowers were firm to the touch and quite small.

I wondered if anyone could possibly help with an ID as we would love one in our garden?

Many thanks

It's one of the Deutzia cultivars, there are two or three different ones which all look quite similar but the most common is one called 'Strawberry Fields'.  They are lovely.

HCA, wow that was quick!  I've looked them up, and yes, I think you are spot on with 'Strawberry fields'.  I'm going to try and get one for the garden, it was one of the prettiest plants I've seen in a long time and even caught my attention after looking at some stunning roses.  Many thanks for taking the time to respond.

I've got one of those and not sure I like it's pinkness but the bees and hoverflies are keen so it can stayimage

nutcutlet - good news about the bees liking it image  We have bees so it is always good to plant something that they will like.  It was growing in quite a shady location when we found it and the pink flowers really brightened the darker location, maybe it looks better in some locations?  I've already ordered one thanks to HCA ID-ing it for me, can't wait for it to arrive.
