Hello, can anybody please tell me the names of these two perennial plants which I have had for years, but I don't know thier names. It is the yellow one and the pink one.
Thank you Frances.

Yes, I agree
I think the first might be an aquilegia but it loses focus when I enlarge it.

I thought the same about the pink one nut, judging more by the leaves than anything. If it is an aquilegia it's probably a 'clematis flowered' variety. Can we have a closer photo Frances?
Yes, that's a clematis-flowered Aquilegia. And a very pretty one, too!
That is a really pretty aquilegia - haven't seen one quite like that before - another item for the shopping list.....
Thank you for your replies. I have the Aquilegia in a large pot and the flowers sit on very tall stems so it requires support. I want to buy more of the two plants mentioned so you all have been very helpful. I now know what to ask for.
Frances.
Do clematis-flowered Aquilegia come true from their own seed pods?
More or less Paul, I'm sure some of mine are 2nd or 3rd generation now
