Please help me with my grass!

Hello, i have recently bought a new build home, im having trouble with my grass, yes i know new build homes don't tend to have great grass but im trying to sort mine out. Its very patchy and i have some spots grow very fast and very green, the rest is dull and doesnt grow, kinda looks a little dead! Ive sprikled grass seed all over twice and watering daily if no rain and hasnt really helped, i know there are products available but i havent a clue! Im new at this as never done gardening before flying the nest a few months ago. Please help!!

The bright green bits are clearly getting more food or water or both. Is your garden accessible to animals?  My grass grows green like that where my dog pees on it!

  • Thats great help! Thankyou so much.

I have got a puppy but the grass was like this before he came, he actually will only wee on the nice big green grass patch!

I will take your advice and do it this weekend!

Animal pee tends to be too rich in Nitrogen and will scorch / burn the grass, leaving dry straw, coloured (dead) patches ...

Well yes, in the short term - but in the long term the increased nitrogen levels in the peed-upon area result in brighter green lush growth.
