Hi, I have just noticed my 'varigated' pink weigelia is virtually all green now 
is there anything I can do to revert it back or does this happen when they get older?

Variegated plants sometimes do this ,the thing is to take the green pieces off as soon has they appear then you can keep it checked .it sounds like yours might have gone too far now, if you take the green pieces off you mightnt have much left.
The only way to stop this reversion is to cut out any all green shoots as soon as they appear because they grow more strongly than the variegated ones and will soon become more dominant.

I had one of these. I began by cutting out the odd green shoot, then one got missed and flowered. I thought the pale pink flowers looked so much better against the plain green, much less fussy. I used it for cuttings and now have two fullgrown pale pink and green weigelas that look lovely. The original eventually got sad and old looking and has gone!
I only have one branch left that is varigated
