I went charity shop rummaging the other week and found the RHS encyclopedia of plants and flowers, a few others on here grabbed it offline also, its an absolute must!
Also have how to become a gardener by Titchmarsh, not much of a collection but very useful starting point!
Yes i agree it`s been a huge help to me since i bought it
also found in a charity shop
bought the Geoff ones on ebay.
I have too many to name, but my favourites are anything by the Royal Horticultural Society (published by Dorling Kindersley I think). Have both the ones you mentioned TheHappyGrower.
This is my ultimate favorite book!
Also like these two, the first one is a series of photographic guide books by a gentleman named Roger Phillips, there is also one on shrubs, another for trees, a set of two for perennials, another pair for conservatory/tender plants, and one for annuals.
The second book is a superb book which covers pretty much all hardy woody plants (shrubs and trees) that are encountered and able to be cultivated in Great Britain. Written by members of the Hilliers Arboretum (New Forest, Hampshire) staff. Highly recommended!
