    That's Lavatera arborea.

  • Thank you. Googling this, i have read that it is a hardy annual, so it will flower and die in one year. Is that correct? I think it is too big a plant for all that to happen within 12 months.

    There are quite a few different Lavateras.  Some are annuals, some bi-ennial and some perennial.  Lavatera arborea (English Tree Mallow) is a biennial.


    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
