Weed Fabric Control

I'm looking to buy some weed fabric control, is 100Ggsm the best to have?

I'm not impressed with reviews of weed fabric from b&q, will probably buy from Amazon, unless you have recommendations?

Depends where you're using it.  100gsm is fine if it's for weed control in a bed but if it's for a path (or similar) I'd use the stuff that has a thin blue line through it (can't think of it's name just now but they sell it on Amazon and in garden centres).  It's a bit more heavy duty and doesn't wear through so easily.

No, not for planting, just to cover an area and cover with gravel.

Tina, when I covered my front drive in slate chippings, I put down a layer of weed control fabric and a second layer of ground control fabric (which is stronger) on top of that to protect the weed fabric from the sharp edges of the stones.  The reason I did this is that I previously found that gravel punctures weed control fabric when that is used on its own.  The stuff I used came from screwfix and is working extremely well.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
